A Thought

Fame, fortune, and celebrity, from my perspective, are the wrong reasons for choosing acting as a way of life. Real actors are artists first. They make their choices based on living acting as a way of life, not as a career. For most, it's a struggle of monumental proportions for which there will be no reward. That fact does not concern the real actor, who has no choice but to continue to find ways to illuminate the life of the human spirit through art, because it must be done.

Not a job I could do. It's hard enough being myself, so there's no-way I could pretend to be someone else, plus in a love scene I'd probably crack up laughing and a real sad scene I'd cry buckets!! So you dedicated actors I take my hat off to you.x

We live in a society that seems to be obsessed with celebrity--with actors in particular. And, unfortuantely, celebrity is too often used as the measure for achievement. Fame can make something of nothing. Sometimes those who are the best at what they do are the ones whose names you never know. Just my thought.

Debra has it right in what she says.It is exactly what I think and what I experience myself in my environment, my formerly drama teacher it is also so she is so talented. But it will never really appreciated.
That is so sad.

So true, Elizabeth. There are far greater reasons for wanting to fulfill a life's passion than being famous. Famous used to be the accidental result of hard work, dedication, and becoming seriously good at something you had a passion for sharing with others. At least, now those people who just want to be famous don't have to take the acting route to get there. They can just be on a reality show, pose nude for Playboy, or make a sex tape. With that being stated, hopefully, acting will be left for those who are truly dedicated to the craft.
