New York 2007

Well, the NYC workshops went really well. Saturday was a cold reading workshop. It was great to work with actors from beginners to the well-seasoned. People came, not only from New York, but from all over the U.S. including California, Texas, Georgia, Conneticut, Arizona and Florida. All were interested in learning the cold reading technique either for voice over work, community theater, or to further their acting careers. There were also people there that are going through life changes and are wanting to try their hand at acting. Sunday was a fun group from my yahoo fansite. They all wrote a play together online and reserved Sunday for a cold reading of it. I also taught them the relaxation and a sense memory exercise. I worked with a lovely character actor, Philomena, an aspiring actor, Heather, and a community theater actor, Cheryl on their monologues. Everyone did a great job with the cold readings, the play, and the monologues. It was a pleasure to meet and teach all of them.

All Aboard

I have met so many interesting and talented people. I would like to acknowledge my friend, Betta Caraccia for her hard work on this wonderful project. Imagine traveling on a bus around the world with twenty other very talented people. Meeting people from all walks of life. Existing within their worlds for a short but memorable time. Being a part of the creation of many aspects of the arts. Promoting peace throughout the world. I have been invited to hop aboard in any country I would like when they get back on the road. Right now Betta is working hard to get funding for their next tour. Check out this website. http://www.humanweb.tv/

Honey, I'm Home

Life is good outside of blogs and websites. Last weekend I was in Orlando coaching a group of at least 20 actors for the film, “The Legend of the Red Reaper”. The film is set for a worldwide release. The setting so far is at a house in Orlando, where the producers, the director, the lead, crew, fight trainers and some actors are camping out working hard preparing for the shoot. A lot of the actors are stunt people so the director, Matt Dean called me in to work with them and other actors. As I worked with the actors/stunt people others were being trained in martial arts and sword fighting right outside. I had to take a peek. I have a little background in Martial Arts and weapons so I am very interested in watching the work come alive for film. I was offered the role of a reaper, but had to turn it down, because the weekend they are shooting the scenes I would have been in I will be instructing my workshop in NYC. Yes, I had a fight scene. Well, I just have to wait for the prequel or sequel. http://www.indifilmshop.com/RedReaper.html
